Stevioside
Stevioside is an all natural extract from the leaf of a Stevia plant. It is a pure natural extract of the stevia rebaudiana bertoni plant.
Stevia leaves contain glycosides, which taste sweet, but do not provide calories. Steviosides and rebaudiosides are the major constituents of glucosides with differing sugar type molecules attached, as found in the leaves of the Stevia plant. The major commercially used glycoside is called Stevioside, estimated to be 200 to 300 or more times sweeter than sugar.
Methods of extraction vary. Sino-herb Stevia Extract is extracted using the Natural "Aqueous Extraction" process (Purified water extraction, Air Dehydration). This all natural method results in a pure white stevia crystal, with no brownish coloring. Stevioside dissolves rapidly in liquids. When dissolved in water our stevia extract stevioside leaves the water completely clear with no sediment at the bottom.
